On Dec. 14 we took an outing to Olvera Street on the Gold Line.
We got on the train at Sierra Madre Station and headed toward Downtown.
Unfortunately we missed Nico and his mom called while we were on the train.... they were 1 train behind us and we decided "no man left behind" and got off at the next staion to wait for him.
At Union Station we sat in the big comfy chairs.
Then wandered over to Olvera Street.
Here we are in front of the first fire station in Los Angeles.
And the oldest home in Los Angeles.
The boys all wanted ice cream and it was really cold, so we let them have some. Den leader Mark held out for taquitos.
Overall, a fun time with a great turn out of boys. We learned a little about Los Angeles history.
